Because of the beautiful story in Kakuzo Okakura’s The Book of Tea about the harp made of a kiri tree, I wanted to have a little animal’s point of view from below, maybe an ant that is going to climb it, or a hedgehog looking for shelter:
Actually it is a small painting, and I like very much the effect of ink brushestrokes when enlarged, the texture of ink and the texture of the trunk are so similar…
